Our semi-private salt room consists of 4 lounge chairs separated by a privacy curtain.
Each session lasts 45 minutes.
Salt therapy, also known as halotherapy, originated in the salt mines and caves in Poland in the 1800s. The miners, who chiseled, ground and hammered the salt and naturally inhaled the particles, had fewer respiratory illnesses and enjoyed robust health in spite of the harsh working conditions. The practice of visiting salt caves for therapeutic reasons was common in Eastern Europe in the 12th century and only recently migrated to western culture. Salt therapy sessions are conducted in our salt room, where walls and floors are lined with salt, and the air is infused with salt particles. Salt therapy involves breathing in dry, micronized salt particles in a controlled environment.
It is this process that may lead to the benefits below:
Helps clear airways by reducing inflammation and mucus in the lungs.
Promotes relaxation by improving oxygenation.
By calming the nervous system and reducing breathing-related disruptions.
By detoxifying the body and reducing congestion.
Reduces symptoms of eczema, psoriasis, and other skin conditions
